Our client is leading worldwide manufacturers of analytical measurement systems for the life sciences.

Responsibilities:
The Applications Specíalist is responsible for analytical methods development based in our Application Development Laboratory in Madrid (Spain) according to the new analytical needs in the following markets: Petrochemical, Foods, Environmental and Toxicology/Forensic, mainly.

In addition, he/she will be responsible for the methods implementation at customers facility according to specifications from customers and sales representatives. Analytical techniques to cover include: GC, GCMS, LCMS and ICPMS.

Essential duties include:
Develop new analytical methods at the Application Development Laboratory
Analysis of customer samples and results reporting
Demonstration of isntruments and methods to customers
Methods implementation at customer facility
Sales & technical internal support
Providing advanced user training and customer sites
Provide answers to potential customer analytical inquiries
Customer support (phone, e-mail etc. ...) for operational, technical and analytical questions
Prepare application notes and scientific posters as well as giving scientific speeches

Degree in scientific areas (BS, Msc, Ph.D.) analytical chemistry, chemistry engineering or related field with a reasonable experience in laboratory work covering chromatography, mass sepctrometry and ICPMS is preferred

Others languages like Portuguese, German or French would be valuable

Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for installation, service and maintenance systems as well as customer training on the operation and application of the system, covering a given geographical area in Spain.

Essential duties include:
Perform standard installations, hardware & software upgrades, repairs and routine maintenance
Basic customer training including hardware & software
Have demonstrated competency with respect to troubleshooting problems and applications
Customer support (phone, e-mail etc..) for operational and technical questions
Maintain close communication with the factory Technical Support teams and follow standard procedures (escalation, installation tracking, provides feedback on field issues, etc.)
Attend ongoing training as required to maintain and upgrade skills
