UPRM Chemical Engineering Graduate Programs

El Departamento de Ingeniería Química de la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Mayagüez está reclutando nuevos alumnos para estudios de pos-grado, tanto de máster como de doctorado. Hay programas de becas los cuales no sólo cubren la matricula, sino que se recibe un estipendio al colaborar como Teacher Assistant/Research Assistant. Sensient Technologies have a strong belief in training and developing their key employees from within. This position is part of a global initiative to recruit and develop the best people. To emphasize the importance of this belief, this position will report directly to the General Manager of the EMEA business. Upon selection, the Sensient Sales Representative will participate in a program designed to prepare one for a career in field sales and potentially into further management and leadership positions. The Sales program consists of departmental rotations which include customer contact, inside sales, sales support, marketing and technical training in the applications lab. 

The chosen candidate can expect to spend several weeks or months in various departments during this program with a goal of achieving the ability to perform as an Account Manager for Sensient Colors and potentially preparing effective candidates for more senior management roles. A large variety of tasks as determined by your mentor in each department ultimately giving you a broad learning whilst helping the immediate needs of the company during your 2 ½ year program. You will spend a minimum of 18 months in the Technical Department, 6 months in Customer Services and experience an increasing amount of direct customer visits. This position is based in King’s Lynn, UK, with an expectation of extended training at other Sensient sites in Europe and St. Louis, USA. As a global company Sensient has sales requirements throughout the EMEA region and therefore the location, which may be outside the UK, for the first sales position will be agreed as the training period draws to a close. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
  • In the Sales and Marketing departments you will learn how to sell products from the marketing stage, through to the customer presentation, through to pricing, through to customer services and invoicing. You will gain a thorough understanding of the complete sales cycle. 
  • In the Technical department your role will be supporting the Technologists with the creation of new colour delivery solutions for both customer based briefs and new product initiatives. 
  • In the Finance department you will learn how to cost different types of product and gain an understanding of how the company analyses the business. 
  • In the Operations department you will be required to carry out hands on manual activities absorbing and learning the Sensient manufacturing processes. 
  • You need to be flexible and prepared to travel as the program is likely to involve opportunistic project work both developing you and benefiting the company. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Candidates must be interested in a career in outside, professional sales. 
  • A full driving license enabling you to drive in the UK and Europe 
  • The ability to multitask

  • Team player with a friendly and likeable personality whilst retaining tenacity to chase and follow up
  • The ability to quickly grasp new concepts and processes and be the architect creating new processes where improvements can be made

  • Must have the ability to travel to multiple customers throughout the assigned territory (UK and Europe) 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum 2:1 science based Bachelor’s Honors degree or European equivalent from a top University

Para nuestra Central en Granada, y adscrito al área de formación, la persona deberá detectar las necesidades de conocimiento y habilidades de la organización y desarrollará e impartirá contenidos de formación teórica y práctica (documentos, manuales, videos, etc.) para todos los colectivos afectos al plan de formación, con especial atención al área comercial, a lo largo del territorio nacional.

Perfil requerido

• Persona creativa y con una buena comunicación, con orientación al cliente y flexibilidad

III Feria de Internacionalización de la Facultad de Ciencias

Los días 19 y 20 de noviembre tendrá lugar en la Facultad de Ciencias la III Feria de Internacionalización para dar a conocer entre el alumnado de la Facultad las distintas posibilidades de movilidad internacional que les ofrece la UGR.   • Durante un curso de duración 11 meses realizarás el Master de “Energy and Processes” impartido por el IFP- School, escuela especializada en formación en el sector de la energía aplicada a las necesidades de la industria (petróleo, gas, petroquímica, sistemas de propulsión, etc.). 
  • Cepsa asume el coste de 18.000 €+1.400 €/mes en concepto de beca+ el pago de 3 billetes de ida y vuelta a España. 
  • A estas ventajas se suma el compromiso de contratación por parte de la compañía una vez finalizado el Master.

PERFIL DEL CANDIDATO/A
